My Tree Of Life

The Tree Which Grounds Her

The Tree Which Grounds Her

She loved to hug trees.  She was a city girl who found the concrete too manic, so left.  Being in the countryside gave her something, she was able to be creative with ease and confidence, she believed in herself.  It had taken her a long time to do so and she loved herself for that.  At times it felt as though she was the only one who loved.  She felt thankful she was able, she knew how difficult it could be to love oneself.  She had finally mastered it.

She loved this image.  She loved the depth of the roots, the thickness and strength.  She loved the fickleness of the branches as they changed with the seasons.  She had compared herself to a tree, grounded, changeable; adapting to the environment.  She hoped the tree resource would replenish itself soon, for the sake of her children and her grandchildren.
